What you'll be doing:

•    Work with business and technical staff to capture data requirements, document existing business rules, processes and procedures in conjunction with detailing existing data flows within current operational systems
•    Perform data exploration and analysis: use statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends 
•    Provide query assistance to Data management (Matrix/Investment system platform) users, including ad hoc queries and operational support as needed
•    Work closely with engineering and QA team to support ongoing development.
•    Perform post-development Quality Assurance testing to ensure functionality has been developed to required specifications
•    Support Product Owners & Technical Leads by identifying system efficiencies and functionality enhancements that should be considered
•    Triage and document reported system issues to identify root-cause of reported problems. Initiate bug-fix tickets to track development when needed and oversee ticket through to Production rollout and resolution.

 

What you'll need:

  • Education: completed university studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics or comparable. Combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet essential duties and required competencies of the position is required.
  • Personality and Working Practice: team player, excellent communication skills, analytical thinking and structured
  • Experience and Knowledge: 
    • 2+ years’ work experience in a data-centric role: data warehousing technologies and tools, ETL (extract, transform, load) tools, SQL databases, writing database queries (T-SQL), data modeling techniques, analyzing large data sets, etc.
    • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and insights from large and complex data sets
    • Demonstrable experience working with software development and collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Miro, GIT or Azure DevOps
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience of data visualization products, such as PowerBI is a plus but not essential.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Media / advertising industry experience is a plus
    • Languages: Excellent English skills, any other language is a plus
