This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

The Role

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As Technical Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in being the local information manager (LIM) for assigned project(s). As well as, creating, collating, and managing key technical documents for the whole project cycle in accordance with process requirements. Furthermore, creating and maintaining project-related databases and trackers e.g. quality control, purchase orders, changes, and ensure information is correct and up-to-date. As well as, checking and allocating correct information/document access rights on project databases (for internal parties). And also, assisting with preparations of technical reports, specification and tender documents and provide status updates as and when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers with engineering procurement, processing, filing, and distribution of documents and chasing of actions.
  • Assist with and resolve document and procedure queries or escalate where/when appropriate.
  • Organise technical meetings, provide supporting documents/agenda, take minutes, and support relevant follow-up actions.
  • Share knowledge and ideas and provide support/informal training to others.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification e.g. HNC / apprenticeship or equivalent in Business, Science and/or Engineering related discipline. 
  • Good interpersonal skills - Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Good IT literacy and competency in utilising MS Office – word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, SharePoint etc.
  • Able to work autonomously with minimum supervision

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience of and good technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to work with data management systems.
  • An interest in data processes and documentation control.
