About the Principal Solutions Engineer Position

We are seeking to hire a Principal Solutions Engineer to join the Stairwell team. This person will serve as the main technical point of contact to our customers. We are seeking someone who enjoys leveraging innovative security solutions, and providing a great experience to our customers. To be successful in the role, the ideal person will need to be a self starter and possess excellent technical problem solving skills.

Principal Solutions Engineer Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical subject matter expert for our prospects and customers. 
  • Present and demo our technical value to prospects and onboard new customers to the Stairwell platform.
  • Deep engagement with product teams providing near real time customer feedback.
  • Create knowledge base content to capture new learning for reuse throughout the company and user base.
  • Participate in technical communications within the team to share best practices and learn about new technologies and complimentary security applications.
  • Map identified customer business requirements to workable solution architectures.

Principal Solutions Engineer Qualifications

  • Requirements: 7+ years in sales engineering at Security or SaaS companies, strong knowledge of cybersecurity trends, and excellent demo/presentation skills.
  • Responsibilities include providing pre- and post-sales technical support, creating strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering customer training.
  • Engage with internal teams (Sales, Security Operations, Product Management) and customers to ensure success criteria are met, resolve issues, and advocate for customer needs.
  • Focus on maintaining and growing customer relationships, ensuring value delivery, and minimizing churn.

OTE Range $200,000 - $245,000.
