What you’ll do
- Lead low-risk food processing operations, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Train and mentor team members in various processes and equipment operations.
- Operate machinery and equipment to support food product manufacturing.
- Drive achievement of production targets and implement efficiency improvement plans.
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring to foster a high-performance culture.
- Champion positive change and employee engagement through exemplary leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold company values and standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
- Support safety, hygiene, and environmental initiatives.
- Contribute to waste reduction efforts through accurate recording and continuous improvement.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards and adhere to safety protocols.
- Address concerns related to product quality, safety, or processes promptly.
- Wear and maintain provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Follow traffic management policies and practices to ensure workplace safety.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required or directed.
What you’ll bring
- At least three years of food manufacturing experience.
- One year or more of team supervision experience, ideally within the FMCG industry.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Food Safety practices, HACCP, and WH&S principles.
- Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or related field.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated resilience, professionalism, and work ethic.
- Approachable, energetic, and adaptable mindset.
