Position Summary
We are looking for a tech savvy project orientated Team Leader to lead the team of Payment Service Providers to the next level of the company's evolution journey. The Team Leader of Payments Service Provider will currently report to the acting Manager for PSP. Located in our Athens office, the role will also have close collaboration with our team located in Sweden. The ideal candidate has a proven record in multinational company(ies), has a proven record of leading team(s), has an eye for detail and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of leadership responsibilities for the PSP team which may include interviewing, hiring, coaching, training, and developing employees, promoting their prospective growth.
- Lead the team in delivering high-standard services to the Group (i.e. Monthly closing, year-end closing).
- Responsible for the P2P accounting processes and tools to ensure all PSP flows are handled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Be the point of contact for all relevant inquiries for our global team, auditors and vendors.
- Complete daily and ad hoc reconciliation of all transactions.
- Download and process data from multiple sources.
- Prepare reconciliations using advanced functions in spreadsheets.
- Analyze the results of the reconciliation and follow up with the relevant department regarding the unmatched transactions.
- Reconcile payments received against statements from PSPs.
- Monitor accuracy of fees deduction and rolling reserve from the PSP.
- Support and perform tasks in the month-end and year-end close process.
- Propose potential changes in our procedures and ways to improve efficiency.
- Propose automations to strengthen and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of current and future procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or relevant; Master’s degree will be considered a plus.
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA, ACCA) will be considered a plus.
- Proven experience 6+ years in a multinational environment. Also, it is desirable to have a tracking record of leading a small team.
- Experience working in an international group with transactions in different currencies.
- Strong communication skills (to handle communication with the PSP efficiently and to handle communication with various teams inside the company).
- Experience in fully automated processes.
- Analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of procedures end to end.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Error solving abilities.
- Experience in handling vast amounts of data.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and financial accounting statements.
- Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), in a multinational environment.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proficient MS Excel skills including Xlookups, pivot tables, power queries and if functions.
- Ready to integrate new IT knowledge in the everyday workflow.
- Personal and professional integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrate initiative and a positive, helpful attitude.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written).
- A’ Grade Accounting License is required.
