Team Lead- SMB Business Development

We are looking for a Team Lead for a Business Development sales team within our Restaurant Solutions group. This leader will oversee an acquisition sales team focused on selling our marketing and subscription solutions to new customers in North America. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of Business Development experience, relevant hospitality or restaurant experience is a plus. They will be able to demonstrate strong sales management skills and an ability to drive a team to high levels of sales performance. This will include consistent sales coaching, a strong desire to drive KPIs (talk time, pipeline management, CRM hygiene) within the team, the ability to create a competitive and fun culture, and excellent communication skills. This will require daily interaction with their sales team to ensure performance targets are being exceeded.  

They will have strong communication and motivation skills, will be well versed in pipeline management, deal negotiation and closing techniques. They will have a desire to lead a full sales team in the future; will be open to feedback on leading, coaching, and developing others. 

This role requires a proactive, motivated, organized, target-driven candidate who is able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment and who is capable of bringing the team along. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct regular 1:1s - Coach the team on business development skills such as prospecting, objection-handling negotiation, and closing skills. 

  • Active call monitoring and real time feedback to the team. 

  • Pipeline Management and Forecasting

  • Identifying and securing talent through the hiring process 

  • Building a competitive and fun work environment 

  • Exceed Revenue targets, customer satisfaction, conversion metrics, and related KPIs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Conflict Management/Change Management/Performance Management

  • Efficiently and effectively drive a high volume of outbound calls and sales activity in a metrics-driven environment. 

  • Ensure optimal coverage of all territories at all times. 

  • Work across other core disciplines in organization to ensure smooth touch points and handovers 

  • Hire and onboard new talent to growing team

  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators. 

  • Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders quickly and effectively to resolve sales issues when they arise. 

  • Inspire a goal driven culture of accountability. Create a team environment that rewards achievement and consistency.

  • Ensure optimal coverage of all territories at all times. 

  • Provide support to the team by joining high value sales meetings, handling customer escalations

What are we looking for?

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $90,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
