As a Team Lead - Sales Operations, your main goal is to keep the department running in an efficient manner by increasing the productivity of the team and meeting the expectations of the internal and external clients. You will provide leadership and guidance to all the team members and mentor them in a manner which enhances their skills and functionality.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a team of Sales Operation Executives. Maintain an orderly workflow according to the priorities;
- Mentor and develop the operations team and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment;
- Shadow the team during their day-to-day tasks to ensure they are in line with the set standards;
- Track and maintain records of team achievements and areas of improvement;
- Coach and train team members on account management, Courtesy calls, etc;
- Meet with sales area managers to source feedback to the team;
- Source feedback to marketing, operations, and tech teams for enhancing product effectiveness, client issues, and concerns;
- Collect customer feedback and market research and channel it internally for effective measures and follow-ups;
- Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base through effective team management;
- Analyse statistics & data and compile accurate reports. Analyse and improve process and service procedures, policies and standards;
- Assist with client data gathering regarding health and quality metrics and post-sales support, including general administrative support to maximise the productivity of our Sales Team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of previous experience in the Operations department and a minimum of 2+ years managing teams.
- Understanding of sales operations processes, including workflow management, record-keeping, and team performance tracking;
- Experience with CRM tools and customer relationship strategies to support customer base expansion and client data gathering;
- Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to sales operations.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills;
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Managerial and leadership skills with the ability to manage people;
- Planning, organising and delegating of tasks and functions.
- Applying basic work ethic, which includes but is not limited to respect, time management & adherence to company and department policies and procedures;
- Fluent understanding and application of company values, Honesty, Innovation, Ownership;
- Understands and applies competencies linked to level of expertise.
