Flow Traders is looking for a new colleague to temporarily assume the role of Team Lead - Digital Asset Risk & Compliance within the Operations & Control team at Flow Traders. In this fast-paced role, you will gain broad Digital Assets experience covering the first-line risk & onboarding and monitoring controls as well as leading a team of 4. We are looking for candidates with a background in relevant business control functions.
The Digital Asset Operations and Control team (OAC) is part of the Operations department at Flow Traders. In this team lead role, you will take responsibilities for risk and compliance related controls within the Digital Assets space. We are offering a temporary position of approximately 9 months, where you will be directly employed on a Flow Traders contract.
What you will do
- Work closely with Trading, the Control team and the rest of the Operations team
- Ensure adherence to the risk limit framework, such as, limit monitoring, credit risk monitoring, raising operational risk & compliance incidents and participating in the RCSA & control testing
- Ensure adherence to AML controls, such as, transfer monitoring and changes to counterparties’ trading behavior & AML profile
- Be the first point of contact/escalation for counterparty Compliance onboardings; liaise between 1LOD and 2LOD Risk, Compliance and Legal to ensure a smooth onboarding process
- Conduct risk assessments for ad-hoc requests from trading and keep a close eye on the market to monitor emerging risks and communicate to the team where necessary
- Provide support in audit requests and valuations
What you need to succeed
- 6+ years of working experience in Finance in the area of Governance/Risk/Compliance including previous experience with AMLTF regulation such as the WWFT
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Broad understanding of financial and operational risks relevant for a trading environment
- Affinity with a fast-paced trading, previous experience within Digital Assets is a strong plus
- Hands-on approach and motivation to lead a small team
