As a Lead of the Data Science Team at Lalamove, you will be managing the team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to support different functional departments in the headquarters, as well as our offices around the Globe. You will be responsible for making our products and services intelligent via developing data-driven solutions and bringing them to production. You will work on a variety of challenges including Driver Selection, ETA, Fraud Detection, Vehicle Routing Problem, various OCR use cases and many other applications you will help drive. The qualified candidate should possess a demonstrated track record in leading advanced analytics and machine learning projects which delivered measurable values to the businesses.
What you'll do
- Shape the direction and architecture of artificial intelligence at Lalamove.
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers
- Implement and manage Scrum and Agile methodologies within the team.
- Formulate, plan and prioritize data science projects in alignment with organizational goals.
- Design and refine the MLOps workflow for our machine learning services.
- Stay abreast of the latest AI technologies and integrate them in our company.
What you will need:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of deploying high-availability production machine learning systems.
- M.S. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong knowledge in Python and SQL; knowledge of Java is a plus.
- Extensive experience in the machine learning development lifecycle.
- Experience with utilizing machine learning services on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is preferred.
- Familiarity with machine learning and OCR frameworks and libraries (e.g. Sklearn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Pandas).
- Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models is a plus.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and be ready to roll up your sleeves when needed
- Fluent in spoken and written English; Chinese proficiency is highly desirable.
