The Team Captain, Store Operations supports the Store Operations Manager to ensure that customers have a positive brand experience and that the employees have a positive and efficient work environment. At times this role will be the leader of the store for both front and back of the house, and at other times they will play a supporting role in the store operation.

You’ll work closely with the Verification Center, store leadership and stakeholders to adjust strategies as needed. Furthermore, you will ensure continued success leading by example through shop floor management, educating customers on services offered on-site, current company promotions and initiatives, and be able to guide customers through the buying/selling experience.

What you will do

  • Support Store Operations Manager in managing different elements of the store including service, operations, environment, team and brand experience.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and secure work environment, working with Environmental, Health, and Safety team as necessary
  • Lead by example and support the team by filling in any area that is needed
  • Oversee all store operations including coordinating with logistics service providers, store opening and closing
  • Proficient knowledge of internal systems for account/order management
  • Professionally communicate the purpose of StockX and any other store initiatives to customers
  • Foster relationships with customers, build relationships with repeat customers
  • Deliver an authentic and engaging customer experience for all consumers
  • Explain the StockX buying/selling process and features
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the store

About you

  • 4+ years of work experience in store, customer service, hospitality or a related field; minimum 2 years of leadership experience required
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in quality control, inventory management, or a related field preferred
  • Proven management experience running high volume, fast paced global flagship store environments
  • The ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management Skills – ability to follow project plans and meet key milestones on time, handling multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must 
  • Sense of urgency to perform tasks to timelines 

Nice to have skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with strategizing and delegating tasks

Working conditions

  • The Store is a store environment with working conditions found in a typical retail store setting with warehouse elements. Team members may be regularly exposed to dust, odors, and noise. Required safety equipment may include gloves and protective eyewear. Shirts with sleeves are recommended, though not required. Closed toed and closed heel shoes are required. 
  • This role may require you to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like on a frequent basis depending on site location. 
  • Team members in this environment will be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, turn, and pivot more than 75% of the time.

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base hourly rate of $23/hr plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
