Via is looking for a Tax Manager who will be an integral part of the global tax organization. The Tax Manager will work as part of the core finance team, and will be involved in tax compliance, planning, strategy and other ad hoc projects on a global basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Liaise with external tax advisors on preparation and review of the global income tax provision (ASC 740) including identifying and documenting uncertain tax positions and all related footnotes and disclosures for the financial statements.
- Manage the global tax calendar and oversee preparation and filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax compliance obligations and management of related payments.
- Research and document global tax positions including global transfer pricing arrangements.
- Support the tax aspects of the monthly close process, working closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist in the documentation and implementation of organization wide control processes related to the tax function.
- Manage external tax advisors to support key tax projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with internal finance teams and external advisors to support local and international direct and indirect tax audits.
Who You Are:
- At least 5 years of experience working at a large global public accounting firm or multinational in-house tax department with a Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Accounting or related field.
- Strong executor; people think of you as someone who delivers. You get the job done, while keeping the big picture firmly in mind.
- Savvy communicator; you are comfortable working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and intuitively find the right style to use in different situations.
- Have experience researching tax laws and regulations.
- The candidate must have strong analytical skills as well as have the ability to research and write tax technical memos, document tax positions for our auditors, and ensure that the proper checks and balances are in place to ensure all aspects have been considered.
- ASC 740 work experience and familiarity with state and local tax and international tax.
Compensation and Benefits
- Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
- Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000
