Position:

We are looking to recruit a Tax Intern to be based out of the firm’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh office.

Reports to: Tax Consultant/ Tax Manager/Tax Director
Key external relationships: Vendors and local authorities
Key internal relationships: Partners, Deputy MD, all staff of the Office
Position type: Full Time, 6 months of internship
Applicants eligible: Qualified candidates (Vietnamese speaking)
Working Hour: Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Main duties of the role

Provide support and assistance to Tax Consultant/ Tax Manager/Tax Director with the following tasks:

Provide administrative support relevant to client matters;
Support in tax compliance and tax advisory work under the supervision of Tax Consultant/Tax Manager/Tax Director;
Do research on tax regulations and precedents under the supervision of Tax Consultant/Tax Manager/Tax Director;
Draft client correspondence under the supervision of Tax Consultant/ Tax Manager/Tax Director;
Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements

Essential skills & proficiency

Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects, e.g. accounting, finance, economics, laws (having an accounting or finance background or qualifications in these fields is a plus point). Fresh graduates are welcomed.
Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 – Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good analytical skills, logical thinking and enjoy working with numbers as well as writing.
Careful and detail oriented.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
Good command of English and Vietnamese.
