The Role:

The Tax Analyst will report to the Director of Global Tax and join an outstanding finance operation inside KAYAK and OpenTable (KOT), both key brands of Booking Holdings Inc. This individual will work collaboratively to support the daily operations of the global tax function and promote an environment of continuous improvement and curiosity.

This position will support the Tax team with the day-to-day tax operations of KOT’s global business and is encouraged to work closely with various KOT team members (Accounts Receivable/Payable and Finance Systems to mention a few) and departments.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions (prior ASC 740 experience a plus)
  • Support the preparation of income tax provision supporting work papers which include ASC 740-10 (FIN 48) calculations, tax account roll-forward schedules, and return to provision analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of income tax journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly variance analysis
  • Provide tax support for various departments such as preparing tax projections, modeling various income tax scenarios, and assisting with ad hoc financial analysis
  • Work cross-functionally to collect data for the income tax provision and compliance
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities regarding notices and examinations
  • Assist in SOX testing for income tax accounts
  • Stay ahead of changes in tax statutes and regulations

Please apply if you have:

  • 2-3 years work experience in a professional setting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Basic understanding of tax accounting concepts
  • High work standards and strong work ethics, and can manage multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate and present issues in a clear and effective manner
  • A high attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter attitude while remaining team-oriented

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States located role is $70,000-$90,000.
