WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor and grow with a small team into a best-in-class tax organization
• Take responsibility for the execution of various tax compliance topics, including tax declarations, periodic VAT and WHT returns, US WHT obligations and continuously improve our operational processes
• Analyse existing and upcoming tax laws regarding their impact on Trade Republic’s existing and future business
• Support the European growth strategy of Trade Republic and participate in cross-functional projects to ensure tax considerations are taken into account - from an operational, compliance and efficiency perspective

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least two years experience in professional tax services or an in-house tax function
• Excellent technical skills in Tax and an understanding of accounting (HGB) and Excel
• Reliable personality with high attention to detail
• Strong communicator with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and can clearly articulate complex tax topics succinctly and ask for support when required to ensure high-quality work results
• Self starter with the drive to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, high-growth organization
• Experience in financial services / banking sectors or a startup will be a plus
• German language skills are required (at least full professional proficiency)
