Position

We are currently looking to recruit a qualified candidate to join our Bangkok office as a Tax Adviser.

Reports to: Senior Tax Manager and Tax Director

Key external relationships: Clients, Potential Clients, Ministries, Chamber of Commerce, Business Associations, etc.

Key internal relationships: Partners, Directors, Advisers and other staff.

Salary range: Competitive, varying based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.

Job Description

As a Tax Adviser, you are expected to undertake the following activities and tasks:

• Prepare Thai tax advice under the supervision of a Senior Tax Manager/Tax Director;
• Keep up to date with any developments relating to Thai tax and international and customs regulations and practice;
• Support Senior Tax Manager/Tax Director by conducting through research on Thai tax law and precedents, including Private letter rulings, Supreme Court Decisions, calls or visits to the Thai Revenue Department etc.;
• Communicate with the General Department of Taxation officials;
• Participate in knowledge management, professional development, and Firm administrative activities as requested;
• Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• University level qualifications in Law or professional accounting qualifications;
• Big 4 or top law firm experience in tax team will be highly regarded;
• Experience of advising on international tax and inbound tax planning in Thailand is an advantage;
• Proactiveness and a passion for tax;
• Proficient in both spoken and written English;
• Position will be based in Bangkok and may require occasional travel within Thailand and overseas.
