Department & Position Overview:

As a Talent Partner for Engineering & Product at Civica you will focus primarily on the tactical execution of recruitment strategies to source and secure top engineering and product talent. This hands-on role requires proficiency in modern sourcing techniques and methodologies, enabling the delivery of highly qualified candidates directly to the hiring teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Hands-On Sourcing Execution: Directly engage in the sourcing process using techniques such as Boolean searches, social media recruiting, and networking to identify and attract top-tier engineering and product professionals.
  • Sourcing Methodology Implementation: Apply best-in-class sourcing methodologies to efficiently manage candidate pipelines and ensure a steady flow of talent is available to meet the business needs.
  • Candidate Engagement: Drive the engagement process from initial contact through pre-screening to interview stage, ensuring a high-touch, professional candidate experience throughout.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Teams: Work closely with engineering and product leaders to understand specific role requirements, ensuring that sourcing strategies are highly aligned with the technical and cultural nuances of the positions.
  • Process Management: Manage the recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, from job posting and sourcing to interviewing and offer management, ensuring a swift and efficient hiring process.
  • Data-Driven Tracking: Utilise recruitment metrics to track and report on sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, and quality of hire, adjusting strategies as needed to enhance outcomes.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist with the coordination of onboarding activities to ensure a smooth integration of new hires into their teams.
  • Recruitment Technology Utilisation: Leverage Civica’s ATS and other recruitment technologies to enhance sourcing efficiency and candidate management.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Efforts: Actively contribute to Civica’s diversity hiring goals by implementing inclusive sourcing and selection practices.
  • Compliance Adherence: Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Networking and Community Events:
  • Meetups – Run tech meetup events for Civica.
  • Tech Conferences – Attend events like AWS re, Google I/O, Microsoft or local tech meetups.
  • Hackathons – Engage with potential candidates through coding competitions.

Essential competencies:

  • Strong operational focus with the ability to handle multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with candidates and hiring managers alike.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying the optimal match between candidate capabilities and job requirements.
  • Advanced sourcing techniques Linkedin, Github, Stackoverflow, Xray searching, X.com and more

Preferred skills

  • Proficient in various sourcing techniques and familiar with leading recruitment software and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering and product development sectors, with the ability to quickly adapt sourcing strategies to evolving market conditions.
  • Ability to analyse recruitment data and provide actionable insights to improve the sourcing process.

Qualifications:

Experience: At least 3-5 years of hands-on recruitment experience, preferably within engineering and product-focused roles in the technology sector.
