Talent Development Specialist

IFS seeks a Talent Development Specialist to design, develop, and deliver learning programs within IFS, focusing on the personal development of it’s team members, with a particular focus on our Sri Lankan organization.

 

We are a newly formed team, bringing contemporary and engaging learning experiences to our colleagues. To do so, we are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and personal growth. Everyday, we are learning and improving ourselves, so an ideal candidate will be someone who has a growth mindset, is always thinking about innovative ways of approaching obstacles and welcomes constructive feedback.


You will manage and facilitate our existing soft skills programs. These sessions will be run predominantly in person, at our Colombo office and the audiences are diverse in terms of seniority and expertise, requiring confidence in steering conversations with both intimate and large groups, graduates and senior executives alike.


You will contribute to the design, development and evaluation of our training programs. As such, it would be beneficial for a candidate to have a grounding in core Learning and Development theory. In particular, an understanding and proven ability in applying some of the following concepts: ADDIE or SAM, Social Learning, Gagne’s 9 Events, Instructional Design, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick Evaluations, 70/20/10, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate learning and development workshops at our Colombo office.
  • Conduct coaching on either a 1-2-1 basis or as part of a wider program.
  • Produce instructional materials including: job aides, facilitator guides, and presentations.
  • Design, Develop and Implement training solutions focusing on personal development skills, knowledge and behaviors.
  • Work closely with the Talent Development department to continuously improve the workshop content and delivery.
  • Manage internal local stakeholders.
  • Confidence in delivering soft skills workshops, training, or public speaking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with different methods of facilitating learning and the ability to adapt to audiences and circumstances.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Proven ability in coaching employees, either on a 1-2-1 basis, or as part of a larger program.
