Mission of the role
The Talent Development Manager is responsible for driving performance management and optimizing hiring processes to ensure the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Management:
- Manage and improve a comprehensive performance management system to support continuous employee development and high performance.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews and provide training for managers on delivering constructive feedback.
- Collaborate to develop clear performance metrics, goals, and evaluation criteria.
- Monitor performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance managerial skills in performance evaluation.
Training:
- Design and deliver targeted learning initiatives and workshops to address specific performance issues and skill gaps.
- Utilize performance data to identify high-potential employees and provide targeted development opportunities.
Hiring and Onboarding;
- Develop and implement strategies for attracting and selecting high-quality candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop interview guides and selection criteria.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization and set up for success.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the onboarding process to enhance new hire engagement and retention.
- Talent Assessment and Succession Planning;
- Develop and manage processes for assessing talent and identifying high-potential employees for key roles.
- Coordinate succession planning activities to ensure a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for critical positions.
Data Analysis and Reporting;
- Track and analyze performance data to measure the effectiveness of performance management and hiring initiatives.
- Provide regular reports on key metrics related to employee performance, development, and hiring outcomes.
- Utilize data to identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, and drive strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in talent development, performance management, or a related HR function.
- Strong knowledge of performance management processes, employee development strategies, and hiring best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
