The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a pivotal member of the People & Culture team, entrusted with the task of sourcing and securing top-tier talent for the organization. This position involves close collaboration with hiring managers to devise effective recruitment strategies, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates throughout the hiring journey. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is instrumental in identifying and attracting skilled individuals who resonate with the company's mission and vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with hiring managers to discern staffing requirements and craft strategic recruitment plans.
  • Innovate and implement diverse sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Use various channels such as job boards, social media, and professional networks to identify potential candidates.
  • Cultivate and manage a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Evaluate resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Facilitate scheduling of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Offer guidance to hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and evaluation criteria.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain transparent communication with candidates, providing feedback as necessary.
  • Contribute to nurturing and promoting the organization's employer brand.
  • Represent the organization at recruitment events and industry gatherings.
  • Foster close collaboration with HR colleagues, hiring managers, and stakeholders to align on recruitment objectives.
  • Provide insights to hiring managers on market dynamics and competitive intelligence.
  • Stay abreast of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure recruitment practices adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and generate recruitment reports regularly.
  • Identify opportunities to refine recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in talent acquisition. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing all phases full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • Non-profit experience in community development or human services environment is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in high volume recruiting with knowledge of candidate sourcing and building a pipeline.
  • Strong time-management skills. Proactive with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong relationship management and the ability to build relationships.
  • Knowledge of HRIS including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

Compensation:

LISC offers a competitive salary ($69,300 - $86,600 salary commensurate with experience and location) and excellent fringe benefits. 

Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
