Manufacturing & Distribution Talent Acquisition Partner

The Talent Acquisition Partner for our Manufacturing and Distribution client group plays an essential role in developing, communicating and executing the company vision. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will focus on the recruitment of top talent for various Manufacturing and Distribution opportunities from entry to managerial level for all rooms and departments within our Manufacturing and Distribution client group.

What you do (Responsibilities):

  • Support candidates, talent specialists and hiring managers through the recruitment and selection process, ensuring a positive experience and adherence to proper practices and procedures
  • Responsible for achieving weekly and monthly hiring targets and providing timely metrics on results
  • Support the hiring of 500+ Seasonal Production Assistant and Distribution Associates within a 3-month timeline during peak hiring season
  • Oversee 5+ contract Talent Specialists and hiring fair volunteers who support seasonal hiring
  • Plan, organize and execute hiring fairs in collaboration with the Talent Specialist Team
  • Fluid and flexible to adjust strategy to meet the hiring needs of the business
  • Provide feedback and solutions to any roadblocks with meeting our hiring targets
  • Attend weekly meetings with Hiring Managers and other stakeholders as required
  • Attend all weekly meetings by being present & prepared to discuss results
  • Coordinate job postings on appropriate channels internally and externally to build candidate pipeline, connect with community partners, universities and colleges
  • Screen resumes for open positions and determine relevance of experience to position criteria
  • Conduct phone screen for external interviews to further determine appropriate culture add of candidates
  • Organize interview steps, schedule interviews and ensure each candidate, Talent Specialists and hiring manager are set up for success
  • Complete reference checks, create offers and support the onboarding of new employees
  • Optimize use of applicant tracking software-Greenhouse, and document signing software with all talent specialists and hiring managers
  • Act as point person for all recruiting needs across your client group by building and fostering relationships with the hiring managers and senior leadership
  • Maintain reporting documents to update on hiring progress, recruiting spends and KPIs for bonus purposes
  • Involved in new hire onboarding and orientation programs from organization to successful completion of the program for new Lushies
  • Compile regular and ad hoc recruitment reports for the business and maintain strong KPIs in time to fill and internal promotions.
  • Conduct additional projects to support recruitment/business strategy as necessary
  • Assist hiring managers in adding value to their internal talent pool through assigned projects
  • Be available to participate in bigger People & Culture initiatives and collaborate interdepartmentally along with east-coast counterparts

Who you are (Qualifications):

Required:

  • Experience in high volume recruiting and on-boarding
  • Alignment with Lush’s DEIB strategy
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking Software
  • Strong supervisory, coaching and project management skills
  • Experience in event management
  • Knowledgeable of Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration in professional setting
  • Experience in hiring for manufacturing, distribution or other general and skilled labour jobs
  • Patience, curiosity and is strategic when tackling last minute asks from hiring managers
  • Accustomed to working in a highly seasonal, high pressure environment
  • Capable of physical activities such as standing or sitting for long durations
  • Extensive experience using full MS Office Suite and GSuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and Teams)
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record with meeting and achieving your daily and yearly goals
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual and dependable
  • Available to work onsite 3 days per week
  • Up to 10% travel yearly

Preferred:

  • Experience in HRIS systems and best practices
  • 2+ years experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • RPR, HR or Office Administration designation
  • Experience working with Greenhouse (Applicant Tracking Software) and ADP
  • Strong relationships within the community: community partners, colleges and universities
