Talent Acquisition Group Leader

We have an opening for a Talent Acquisition Group Leader.  You will serve in a highly strategic role at a very important juncture in the Lab’s growth and expansion given that talent, along with innovation are key priorities in supporting our mission. You will lead and build a team with drive and passion to develop and implement cutting edge talent acquisition programs. You will be responsible for recruitment, recruiting metrics, social media, employer branding, training of hiring managers, and partnering with the broader HR team on all issues related to Talent Acquisition.

You will 

  • Build, lead and oversee a recruiting/employment team by providing functional expertise, market-related intelligence, coaching, training and technical direction to strengthen and develop team skills.
  • Define, develop and administer recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes that enhances the candidate experience, brand and recruiter/hiring manager efficiencies while ensuring all processes are in compliance with all legal requirements and policies and procedures.
  • Lead recruiting team in creating strategic partnerships with University Relations, Diversity, Veterans and professional organizations.
  • Provide a consultative approach to partnering with business leaders, assessing current and future talent needs and design new approaches to engaging and recruiting top talent pipelines.
  • Support a customer group, source, screen resumes, make recommendations and guide the hiring managers through the recruiting/employment processes.
  • Analyze complex data and build relevant metrics to report to management and continuously develop and improve our sourcing strategy, pipelines and measure the team’s impact.
  • Continually bring new and innovative concepts and solutions to the team, challenge status quo and traditional method of execution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field or equivalent combination or education and related experience.
  • Experience leading and supervising teams, preferably in technical/scientific recruiting, including mentoring, developing, coaching and fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Significant experience recruiting at all levels and managing all parts of the full recruitment cycle with a strong track record in creating sourcing strategies for a diverse, high quality candidate pool in a technical competitive environment.
  • Expert knowledge of HR employment laws, federal/state regulations and a thorough understanding of ATS capabilities. Significant experience interpreting requirements and making recommendations to policies and procedures and high-level manager.
  • Experience leading integrated projects and business activities and working in a data-driven recruiting environment with the ability to track and understand key metrics.
  • Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills to interact effectively at all levels, with a high sense of customer focus, and the ability to effectively interact, exercise discretion, judgment and diplomacy with tact.
  • Demonstrated team player with solid leadership skills to easily handle shifting priorities, ambiguity and recognize opportunities for improvement while leading change.
  • Ability to take initiative, be accountable for individual and team results, and motivate self and others to set and achieve high-performance standards.
