For this exciting position, we are specifically targeting students with a background in Human Resources and a curiosity about technical recruitment, HRIS/ATS, basic data analytics and reporting. Closely cooperating with the Co-op Recruitment Coordinator and Campus Talent Acquisition team, the individual in this role will have the opportunity to assist full cycle recruitment for technical and co-op roles across Teck, support campus attraction activities, and much more! The successful candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals of a diverse set of technical backgrounds and a motivated self-starter. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (site-based). You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Screening candidates and advancing high-potential candidates to Discovery and Interview stages
- Actively supporting Co-op recruitment and on-campus attraction activities
- Sourcing and adding candidates to our talent pipelines
- Reviewing approved and expected headcount, maintaining compliance with Headcount Tracker and flagging for action/remediation by the accurate party
- Moving candidates through the recruitment lifecycle and providing outstanding candidate experience by applying communication tools and liaising with hiring managers & team
- Providing recruitment administration and system support of SAP and Applicant Tracking System
- Supporting the Talent Acquisition Coordinator with regular reporting and data visualization through Excel, PowerBI, SuccessFactors, Lever Visual Analytics, etc.
Qualifications
- Working toward relevant degree or diploma program in Business and Human Resources or a related field
- Preference will be given to students who have previous related recruitment experience
- Experience with Excel and Office365 is an asset
- Experience with any applicant tracking systems or HRIS would be an asset
- Experience with PowerBI, visual analytics, dashboards is an asset
- Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
- Proven ability to learn innovative technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
- Able to articulate complex concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand
