If Only
Based in Glasgow’s city centre, we specialise in providing travel agents with packaged holidays, from indulgent beach getaways, to complex multi-destination itineraries. Established in 2001, If Only has grown from a ‘one man band’ to a multi-award-winning organisation with over 70 staff based in our modern city offices.
We are 100% trade focussed, selling our holidays through travel agents. We are passionate about the travel trade and as we expand, we plan to become the UK and Ireland’s favourite trade only operator.

Role Information
In being the first point of contact for many of our customers, it is absolutely essential that any person in this role is professional, courteous and helpful at all times.
An ability to deliver the strongest possible Sales performance results and Customer Service in line with company KPI’s is required, whilst offering industry leading customer service to each and every Travel Agent / Direct customer.
In depth and specialist knowledge of putting together both high end Touring and Cruise Itineraries with a positive attitude and desire to learn other products and destinations whilst ensuring the highest of standards and service are offered at all time.
All candidates should be capable of working as part of a team and have the ability to motivate and communicate with others around them in order to achieve the best results possible in all aspects of their working day.
Role and Responsibilities
- To achieve and exceed KPI targets on all aspects of company performance, which can include but not limited to : Maximising Revenue, Margin and Conversion
- To offer Customer Service that exceeds our customer’s expectations
time and time again on each and every call
- To utilise the highest level of product knowledge where possible to go ‘one step beyond’ what other Tour Operators offer and to showcase our specialist knowledge
- To patiently and efficiently ask questions to ascertain our customers’ needs and propose products that meet the needs and expectations of their clients
- Respond and follow up on all sales enquiries. Deliver concise and accurate information to clients/agents
- To complete all details of a customer’s booking accurately into our systems and ensure a seamless process is in place before handing over to other departments
- To develop, maintain and improve individual and team product knowledge
- Develop product knowledge by participating in relevant FAM trips and undertaking independent visits where possible
- To support the business in ‘crisis’ situations by following due process and picking up tasks as are outlined by their Line Manager
- An ability to learn and understand new procedures, ways of working and have an attitude and willingness to learn new products and processes
- To be a team player and actively coach and support colleagues to achieve their best results at all times
- Ensure that strong relationships are in place with all internal customers (departments) at all times and have a proactive approach to problem solving
- To be Galileo ‘literate’ and to be able to work across multiple platforms in order to price an itinerary, customer information and quotes to the highest standard
- To want to develop and excel by learning new destinations and ways of working
- To offer constructive feedback and views to Team Leaders and Line Manager in a positive and professional manner
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and to attend training sessions where required
- Represent If Only at company events where required and to be a brand ambassador at all times
Key Attributes are:-
- To have a minimum of 2 years in a travel role selling tailormade and Cruise Itineraries
- Have strong geographical knowledge and be willing to develop and learn as the business grows and new destinations are added
- To display a positive outlook and attitude at all times
- Be solutions focused and have a forward-thinking approach
- Work as part of a team but also to have own initiative
- Ability to work accurately in a pressured environment
- Patience and understanding (empathy) offering advice and guidance.
- Attention to detail with the ability to foresee potential problems
- Demonstrate numeracy and be capable of pricing / adjusting and discounting
- To provide outstanding levels of customer service externally and internally
- Ability to prioritise, manage expectations and multi task
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels
