Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.
We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer Intern to join our team for summer 2025. The goal of an Systems Integration Engineer Intern at Wisk is to Contribute to the development and integration of Interiors and passenger systems including Environmental control, Cabin Seating and Furnishings, Cabin Media and communication systems. You will be part of the Interior and Passenger Systems team supporting the development of a cabin system for Wisk’s Gen6 cabin.
Responsibilities:
- As part of the Systems Engineering – Interiors and Passenger Systems team, you will be deployed to support the development and integration of systems related to the interior design, ergonomics, and passenger experience for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Structures, Aircraft, Safety, and Certification to achieve interfaces and design that meet all requirements.
- Assist with requirements gathering, system modeling (MBSE), and trade studies to ensure system performance and compliance with regulatory standards for autonomous aircraft.
- Support testing and validation activities of new systems and technologies in simulation environments and on physical aircraft prototypes.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to documentation for system architecture, interfaces, and performance.
- Support supplier coordination and integration activities, ensuring timely delivery of components and alignment with system requirements. This may include reviewing supplier designs, coordinating technical specifications, and tracking deliverables.
- Assist with program management activities, including tracking milestones, supporting timeline management, and helping maintain project schedules for the development of interiors and passenger systems.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and status updates for internal stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Preferred majors: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- Experience or coursework in Model Based Systems engineering (MBSE), human factors engineering, aerospace design, or mechanical systems would be a plus.
- Basic knowledge of program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar) and an understanding of how to track project milestones and deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eagerness to learn and apply new techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as the role requires working in a multidisciplinary team.
- A passion for the aviation and aerospace industries, particularly for advancing electric, autonomous, and sustainable flight.
Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.
This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
