Systems Engineer (Windows, Active directory)

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration:
    • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.
    • Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, and domain controllers.
    • Perform system backups, updates, and patches to ensure compliance and security.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide Tier 2/3 support to resolve escalated technical issues.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, network connectivity, and hardware issues.
    • Assist end-users with software installations, configurations, and problem resolution.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls.
    • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and apply necessary updates and patches.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for system automation and optimization.
    • Utilize tools to automate repetitive tasks, such as user provisioning and log management.
  • Project Support:
    • Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades.
    • Participate in the planning and implementation of new technologies and systems.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
    • Provide training and support to users on system tools and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Total 3-4 years of exprience
  • Must be willing to work in any shifts
  • Proven experience as a Windows Support/System Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows 10/11 operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware, Azure).
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred).
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools and practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications, such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • ITIL Foundation (optional but beneficial).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and provide on-call support when required.
