Systems Engineer

You should be capable of operating basic systems and services, be able to identify problems and find solutions. A passion for learning new technologies will take you far in this role and great communication and customer service skills will be important. Due to the hands on nature of the role there will be a requirement to be office based 5 days per week.

What will this role be responsible for delivery on?

The primary responsibility of this role is to offer on-site technical support for our Edinburgh office. As a member of the OSM squad, you will oversee and assist with various technologies, including VoIP systems, associated applications like Zoom and Office365, secure keycard entry access, printers, desktop IT support, Windows and Mac laptops and mobile phones. Furthermore, you will oversee and coordinate local project deliverables for your assigned squad.

OnSite support includes but is not limited to:-

  • Being the primary IT Support contact for our Edinburgh office on your given days
  • Working on IT issues that are raised via our Techbar channel
  • Meeting Room and Large Event (Townhall) Support
  • Preparing new Laptop and Mobile Devices for use
  • Hosting new joiner IT inductions

What skills do we need?

  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Good problem solving and technical skills
  • A good general knowledge across typical IT Systems
  • Familiar with both Windows & Mac OS
  • Previous experience supporting AV and VOIP technology 
  • The ability to work on your own and often in high pressure environment
