Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

Job Title: Systems Engineer
Worksite: 190 W. Tasman Drive, San Jose, CA 95134
Offered Salary: $121,000.00 per year


What You’ll Do:

  • Author and take responsibility for Archer system requirements.
  • Ensure the requirement set is complete and correct, with traceability to and fulfilling higher‐level
    requirements.
  • Participate in architecture definition, trade studies, and multi‐disciplinary integration problem
    solving.
  • Develop lower‐level requirement sets with support from the technical leads and subject matter
    experts.
  • Conduct the Validation and Verification processes with the product teams, ensuring the plans are
    followed and process independence is maintained.
  • Contribute to improving internal processes and tools.

What You Need:


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and
experience as an Avionics Systems Engineer, Flight Controls Systems Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineer
or any occupation or job title in which 3 years of experience in developing requirements and supporting
configuration and architecture definitions on one or more civil aircraft was gained; or


Master's degree in Systems Engineering and experience as an Avionics Systems Engineer, Flight Controls
Systems Engineer, Electrical Systems Engineer or any occupation or job title in which 2 years of experience
in developing requirements and supporting configuration and architecture definitions on one or more civil
aircraft was gained.


10% domestic travel required.
