We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in support for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. Code GXT provides onsite systems integration technical support, model-based systems engineering, engineering design, and life cycle support for Strategic System Programs (SSP), Office of the Undersecretary of Defense/Defense Standardization Program Office (OSD/DSPO), Office of the Secretary of Defense Research and Engineering (OSD R&E), and Other Government Agencies (OGA). This position will manage the development cycle associated with producing resilient software, hardware and web applications including: specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide Systems Engineering support for planning, procedures, and implementation of Systems Engineering processes
- Assist NSWC Crane in the preparation and execution of SSP command and acquisition program documentation
- Support Systems Engineering Group, System Engineering Management, and System Integration and Test working groups to ensure that System requirements validation and verification methods are accurately captured within the Descriptive System Model and are traceable in the Integrated Verification Model.
- Execute detailed verification procedures, manage configuration of digital engineering enterprise tools, and oversee the development and integration of:
o System Descriptive Models
o Descriptive Model Integration
o Integrated Verification Models
o Virtual Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Simulation
- Provide Process Engineering support for executing SSP command and program Configuration Management and Technical Data Management plans and procedures, specifically related to technical information, documentation, models, and simulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s level degree in an Engineering discipline
- 7 years of professional experience in systems engineering
- 4-7 years SSP Systems Engineering experience
- Secret Clearance
