Systems Engineer I - VMware Horizon and SOTI administration

Summary: The System Engineer I for SOTI Ops team is a team player role and the person is expected to work on Incident, problem and change request to support the SOTI MDM platform. Candidate needs to be a skilled Mobile Device Management (MDM) Administrator with expertise in SOTI MobiControl or VMware Horizon to manage, maintain, and support our enterprise mobility or VDI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mobile device management, virtual desktop environments, and be able to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot both platforms. This role requires strong technical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for assisting in the implementation, and support of Mobile device management and VMware Horizon solutions.
• Responsible for diagnosis and resolution of the incidents and requests that require research and diagnosis, and recommends process changes that improve the implementation, maintenance, end user experience and support of systems security.
• Responsible for identifying the automation opportunities within MDM & VMware Horizon and successful implementation.
• Keep pace with the latest technology trends and improve Tesco solutions.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in MDM technologies
• Overall 7+ years of experience and minimum of 4 years' experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions in SOTI, Workspace ONE or equivalent platform and VMware Horizon platform
• Strong knowledge of Mobile Operating Systems (Android), seamless onboarding technologies, Android for Work/Work Profile.
• Deploying policies, profiles and patches to the managed devices
• Ability to build and modify APIs and experience on PowerShell scripting.
• Samsung KNOX & suite of services
• Expertise on VMWare Horizon 7.x and its building blocks (CPA, Instant Clone, WS1, UAG, AppVolume, DEM)
• Experience on improving end user experience on Vmware Horizon
• Experience on VROPS monitoring solution & any digital experience monitoring solution
• Designs and maintains master images for non-persistent RDSH servers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Group Policy as it applies to virtual desktop management
• Understanding of Networking concepts like load balancing, proxy, firewall
• Understanding on Microsoft Certificate authority concept
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Database including HA setup and write custom scripts
• Understanding on Application packaging and deployment to the Android devices
