Systems Administrator

Full-Time

  • Install, configure and maintain new hardware and software for: servers, data/voice networks, storage systems, workstations, server room, and co-location
  • Perform audits of systems, software, system updates, patches, backups, and user account management
  • Configure and troubleshoot Linux machines
  • Document procedures on a regular basis on Confluence
  • Coordinate with peer internal teams and hosting provider(s) to troubleshoot and escalate problems to resolution
  • Work with the IT manager in planning and implementing IT projects
  • Work with the IT ticketing system to track requests and projects
  • Expert of various standard infrastructure and networking services such as AD, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, Samba, NTP
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure

Requirements

  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to focus on projects until completion
  • Critical thinking and ability to triage projects
  • Strong background with Veeam backups (or similar)
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 3+ years Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience (Windows 2012R2 / 2019 preferred)
  • 3+ years Linux systems administration experience (RedHat/CentOS preferred)
  • Experience with management/maintenance of mission critical services
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language
  • VMWare, vSphere, and vCenter experience
  • Must be available to be on call during weekends/after hours
  • Experience deploying infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, Cacti, Zabbix, or the like

Preferences

  • CCNA
  • REHL certification
  • 2+ years of experience with storage solutions (EMC, Compellent, Qnap, or similar)
  • Experience deploying and configuring Cisco appliances
  • Applicable certifications
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Forticlient VPN
  • Experience with ESET Av
  • Office 365 Cloud administration
  • Data Center maintenance and management
  • Load balancing experience
