What you’ll do at Jamf:

The IT Systems Administrator II position will work cross-functionally between departments and with internal IT teams, supporting and enhancing enterprise systems and operations. This specific role has a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining physical and virtual server infrastrucuture, datacenter storage solutions, and other enterprise systems as necessary.

 

What you can expect to do in this role:

  • Management, administration, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise server hardware and software both on-prem and in the cloud
  • Principal administrator of our virtual server self-service system
  • Create documentation, workflows, and other supporting materials for systems topology, support, and administrative actions
  • Use ITIL processes and procedures for change, incident, and problem management of all enterprise services and systems
  • Assist in maintaining and developing automation of enterprise systems workflows and tasks
  • Take part in a rotation of duties maintaining our global service level agreements including at times 24x7 availability and off-hours responsibilities
  • Research new products, enhance configuration standards and best practices and educate team members on these products and services
  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve escalated technical problems and incidents in a timely and professional manner
  • Attend formal training, conduct self-paced training through online courses or on the job training, attend conferences, and engage with peers to maintain broad understanding of technologies and keeping abreast of new technologies
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and purpose of the organization

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a systems administrator or similar IT role (Required)
  • Strong experience with enterprise servers and storage solutions (Required)
  • Experience using automation toolsets (Ansible)
  • Ability to manage multiple small projects while simultaneously adapting priorities quickly and effectively
  • A high level of independence as demonstrated through clear problem-solving, communication skills, and the delivery of high-quality work
  • Practical experience managing and supporting globally available IT infrastructure services, on-site and remotely
  • Experience working in a compliance-driven environment
  • Experience administrating and supporting some or all of the following technologies is preferred:
    • Cisco UCS Server Infrastructure
    • Pure Flash Arrays
    • iSCSI, FC, NFS
    • VM automation 
    • Unix/Linux Server operating systems and applications
    • VMware, vSphere, ProxMox
    • Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Route53)
    • Scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python)
    • Automation platforms (Ansible)
    • Basic networking skills and understanding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required)
  • Excellent organizational skills (Required)
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
