System Software Validation Engineer

We are seeking for a System Software Validation Engineer with both hardware and software validation experience to join a fast-paced team validating new, cutting-edge firmware for the next generation of Solidigm Solid State Drives (SSD). As a System Software Validation Engineer, you will work on one of the most advanced SSD technology portfolios in the word. In this position you will be part of a word-class team validating leading products in the SSD industry. You will utilize and grow your experience in firmware validation by designing and implementing test plans, by running and monitoring executions to make sure the firmware is working based on industry specifications, customer requirements and as well as our own innovations until the end of life of our products. You will use and gain experience in storage interface standards such as PCIe, and NVMe. Since you will be working with global teams, excellent communication skill and the ability to work closely with team members, both locally and across the organization is required.

Qualifications:

 

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience preparing testing/validation environments.
  • 1+ years of experience with test execution (white or black box testing).
  • 1+ years of experience triaging and debugging software and hardware issues.
  • 1+ years monitoring executions and reporting issues.
  • 2+ years of Linux experience (command line).
  • Intermediate English level.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing and empowering technicians.
  • Python scripting.
  • Experience on Firmware testing is a plus.
  • Experience with industry specifications such as PCIe and NVMe is a big plus.
  • Experience using MSFT package (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) to present or analyze data.
