System Integration Engineer

About the role:

• 
  We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Integration Engineer to join the Data & Technology team, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing collaboration and driving efficiency through innovative system integrations and support. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating and supporting various systems and tools to enhance collaboration and efficiency across teams. You will work closely with R&D Operations, Product, and Portfolio Management teams to ensure seamless integration and support of platforms such as Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Slack, Google Workspace, and other critical systems.

   Additionally, you will help support AI models, such as natural language processing tools and predictive analytics models, ensuring their seamless integration into workflows like project tracking, resource allocation, and process automation.

   

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop and maintain integrations between various platforms, including Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Slack, Google Workspace, and other systems as required
  • Must have hands-on experience with integration platforms as a service (iPaaS) tools such as Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier, or Boomi, including designing, implementing, and managing automation workflows and integrations to optimize business processes
  • Workato automation certifications is a plus
  • Provide technical support for AI models, ensuring their successful deployment, data ingestion, and integration into existing systems and workflows
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve system interoperability across departments
  • Collaborate with R&D Operations, Product, and Portfolio Management teams to integrate their systems, such as connecting R&D’s Jira with Value Engineering’s Jira, ensuring smooth data flow and process alignment
  • Collaborate with and seek guidance from Senior Integration Engineers to ensure best practices and successful implementations.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum practices, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools, such as low-code automation platforms and advanced API management tools, to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
    
    

  Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience working with system integration, automation, and collaboration tools, including platforms like Atlassian, Slack, Google Workspace, and related technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in system integration, with a strong understanding of APIs and data exchange protocols
  • High level understanding in tools such as Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Slack, and Google Workspace
  • Experience working with AI models, including data ingestion and application integration into platforms, is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in SQL, data transformation, and data exchange protocols to build data ingestion (ETL and reverse ETL) pipelines
  • Strong understanding of integration design patterns like point-to-point, pub-sub Event based, data synchronization, hub-spoke
  • Understanding of API development and API lifecycle management

  Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, JavaScript) for automation and integration tasks
  • Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier, or Boomi tools detailed exposure & certifications especially for Workato
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with DevOps tools (like Jenkins, GitHub etc.,) and practices
  • Experience integrating Business Systems such as Salesforce (SFDC), NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Concur, Ironclad, Snowflake, and Gainsight
