We are looking for a Junior System Engineer to join our team and support a major client operating in the railroad industry. Technical education in the field of electric/electronic engineering required (or documented equivalent experience), better if knowledge or experience in power supply, converters, transformers, motors, generators, electromechanical component. The activities required will be:
- Within the System Engineering department, contribute to fulfill the milestones of projects, bids and product development, respecting all the quality, cost and delivery targets
- Providing business know-how for electrical and mechanical systems, and guidance for technical strategic decisions and supporting your team members in important meetings with suppliers, customers, authorities in various countries
- To drive system design activities regarding train subsystem such as the traction drive and auxiliaries
- To design the architecture, functional and technical specifications regarding train performances and customer requirements
- To ensure the coordination of design activities done by internal or external suppliers
- To manage design activities with all Engineering domains (i.e. mechanic, control command, validation) but also with transversal expertise such as operating safety, EMC
- Participate in the follow-up of the achievement and qualification
- To specify tests and participate in the validation and the certification process of the Power Pack by using simulation tools, test benches or a train
- To contribute to issues resolution
- Engineering Master Degree, preferably Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Mechanical
- Experience in the same responsibility at a senior level in a relevant industry
- Experience in working in an international environment
- Highly developed communication skills
- Highly developed management and leadership skills
- Deep knowledge of the Railway business is an advantage
- 1 to 3 years of experience in design system on the rolling stock activity will be an asset
- Technical competencies: electro technics, electronic, automation, pneumatic, taking RAMS aspects into consideration
- Fluent in English and Italian, an additional language skills (French, German, Spanish) are an advantage
