A day in the life of a: System Administrator
Imagine stepping into a dynamic IT environment where you'll be the driving force behind a major Microsoft 365 transformation. Your days will be a blend of hands-on action and strategic decision-making. You'll navigate the complexities of tape backups and migration, breathing new life into legacy systems.
But that's just the beginning. You'll have the power to sculpt the future, creating Azure virtual machines and orchestrating server migrations that will shape the company's digital landscape. You'll collaborate with a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
This isn't a role for the faint of heart. Some days you'll be onsite, troubleshooting complex hardware problems, while others will be spent in the cloud, architecting solutions that will push the boundaries of what's possible. You'll even have the chance to leave your mark on the company's security posture, assisting in the establishment of a cutting-edge Security Operations Center (SOC).

You possess a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 and on-premises infrastructure, comfortable navigating complex systems and troubleshooting even the most perplexing issues. You have a passion for cloud technologies, excited about the potential of Azure and eager to leverage its capabilities to drive transformation. You're a natural problem-solver with a knack for creative solutions, never shying away from difficult tasks and always thinking outside the box to find the best approach. You excel at collaboration and communication, working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, explaining complex concepts in clear, concise language. Finally, you're eager to learn and grow, always looking to expand your skillset and stay ahead of the curve in the ever-changing world of IT.
· Proven experience as a System Administrator, with a track record of success in managing and modernizing IT infrastructure.
· Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, on-premises data centers, and tape backups.
· Expertise in Azure virtual machine creation and server migration.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
- Administration experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, Intune
- Experience with Azure
- Tape backups
- Providing tier 1 / tier 2 customer support.
- VM Ware/Exsi
- Create and edit group policy.
- Identify redundant and outdated Group Policy
- Active Directory
- Domain Controller maintenance
