Ingenuity Prep prepares PreK - 8th grade students in Ward 8 to succeed in college and beyond as impactful civic leaders. Our innovative instructional model promotes small group learning for students, collaborative teaching teams, and robust coaching and professional development opportunities for teachers and staff.
We are looking for an outstanding experienced School Psychologist to join our school. As a member of the Ingenuity Prep Student Support Team, the School Psychologist will support students and families, empower teachers, and serve as a critical partner in ensuring that students have the services they need to be successful both academically and socially/emotionally..
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a School Psychologist at Ingenuity Prep, you will:
- Screen and evaluate referred children including selecting appropriate instruments, administering tests, observations, and writing reports which state the evaluation findings and provide for educational program recommendations
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and FBAs reports
- Work with another School Psychologist to provide individual and group services to students - including therapeutic counseling services - that emphasize improved academic and social-emotional outcomes
- Develop, monitor, review and modify behavior intervention plans
- Identify students in need of counseling and social services
- In collaboration with school’s instructional leadership, provide teachers behavioral and academic strategy support, resources, and professional development
- Collaborate with teachers, Vice Presidents of Special Education, and instructional leadership to coordinate special services to students with IEPs
- Collaborate with school-based teams to improve student success by providing comprehensive support, with a focus on assisting the attendance team, Response to Intervention (RTI) team, and wellness teams in fostering a positive and thriving school environment

- You have experience working in DC, ideally in Ward 8.

- You have a track record of holding high expectations for yourself and students.
- You have NASP/NCSP certification
- You have a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in school psychology.

Salary: $95,790 - $119,628 (commensurate with 1-10 years of experience)
