Our Learning Technology team is looking for a Software Engineer for our Learning product, based in Bangalore, IN. In this role, you'll engage in design, development, and technology delivery projects with leadership opportunities. You'll collaborate with business partners, Visa IT teams, and third-party vendors. The portfolio includes our flagship product, Visa University, along with SaaS, hosted applications, and various third-party providers such as Absorb, Alpine and Pearson, among others.

Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including creating, implementing, and reusing code for products or components while applying coding best practices and ensuring security compliance.
Work with cross-functional teams to assist in designing and developing effective software solutions for various Visa technical offerings.
Stay updated with industry trends and propose new payment solutions using the latest technologies, including Gen AI tools.
Follow and promote the SDLC governance framework.
Contribute to product quality improvements, service technology, and new business processes within agile teams.
Provide support for high-priority incidents and assist in release management.
Proactively seek guidance as needed in a complex, fast-paced environment to deliver solutions and meet service levels.
Maintain high standards of engineering and operational excellence by following Corporate Reliability Engineering (CRE) principles.
Essential Functions:
Participates in code review processes for self-development, gathers feedback, and learns about coding standards and the team's features.
Demonstrates relevant technical working knowledge to understand requirements.
Develops development artefacts that are robust and scalable, considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem.
Should have strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to quickly propose feasible options and effectively communicate strategy and risk mitigation approaches to leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree, OR equivalent years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Web application development experience in C# .Net/ Core or experience in Java with a willingness to learn the .NET framework.
• Hands-on experience in software design, development, and deployment for highly available and highly resilient enterprise solutions.
• Full Stack Software Development experience in large scale mission critical applications.
• Mandatory experience with n-tier web application development and experience in Modern UI Framework or other frameworks.
• Solid experience in frameworks like .NET Framework/ Core
• Expertise with RDBMS systems like SQL Server, Oracle or DB2.
• Experience working on UI/Web development using Angular/React, JavaScript, JQuery, and HTML/CSS technologies is required.
• Experience in Web Services/API Development using SOAP or REST, JSON and XML.
• Prior experience with cloud platforms like Azure and version control systems like GIT.
