The SVP, SVP, Commercial Operations and Portfolio Management is responsible for optimizing the overall Pine Gate operating portfolio commercially, working via cross functional teams to develop strategies by market, and special projects for optimizing various subsidiaries of PGR.  You will work across all levels of the organization to find and create value commercially, providing agile leadership across a range of cross functional topics, and project managing them from idea to execution. 

Utilize your comprehensive expertise in power markets and finance to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Strategy & Origination, Structuring & Trading, and Regulatory and Government Affairs. Your role will involve developing innovative strategies, pioneering new market products, and optimizing the value of our portfolio across our operational markets. In addition, you will lead the thinking around new market opportunities for Pine Gate, driving the organization to grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to expand and optimize our fleet's commercial operations, driving growth and profitability while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across Pine Gate's diverse portfolio of subsidiaries through strategic analysis and targeted initiatives aimed at maximizing value and performance.
  • Serve as the primary representative of our company/project in high-stakes meetings with clients, investors, and customers, leveraging your expertise as market expert.
  • Support to the PGR senior leadership team by effectively managing and prioritizing key projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of commercial initiatives and provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
  • Streamline commercial operations and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics to track performance and drive profitability.
  • Ensure that commercial activities adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards, while also managing risks associated with commercial operations.

Must-Haves

  • At least 12 years of power markets experience working within the S. power or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience with wholesale hedging activities, basis hedging activities (REC trading activities a plus)
  • Experience creating market dispatch teams and other related commercial functions
  • Deep understanding of renewable development and commercial hedging, and strategy
  • Deep understanding and experience in finance and risk management
  • Proven track record in effectively communicating with investors, navigating tax equity considerations, and managing debt relationships
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Education and Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in finance, economics, or investment management.

Working Environment and Physical Demand

  • Travel up to 50%
