We are currently recruiting a Sustainability Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join Incommunities, contributing to the delivery of the Sustainability Investment Programme and increasing the awareness of sustainability and energy efficiency to both our customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Inform decision-making around sustainable funding streams, including SHDF, HNES, GHNF & ECO.
- Assist in implementing and continuing the annual ESG reporting framework, identifying and tracking progress against sustainability metrics.
- Provide expert advice to increase awareness and identify opportunities for customers and colleagues related to sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a suite of Environmental & Sustainability-focused KPIs to support performance tracking.
- Support the management of the corporate decarbonisation journey, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
- Contribute to delivering the Sustainable Investment Programme across the organisation.
- Support stakeholders in quantifying and developing the organisation’s green space and biodiversity asset base.
- Collate and analyse data to inform medium and long-term environmental and sustainability strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation, sector developments, and policy changes.
- Manage databases and software systems to monitor and evaluate the performance of environmental and sustainability initiatives and contracts.

Requirements
- HNC / Degree / Diploma in a relevant field (Sustainability, Environment, Energy, Waste, Planning, Housing, or Property) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable understanding of Retrofit delivery programs and associated funding streams.
- Experience in environmental and energy management systems.
- Proven experience in project management and initiative development.
- Knowledge of Net Zero 2050 and its implications for the residential sector.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability regulatory frameworks.
- Prior experience managing complex data, conducting analysis, and producing detailed reports.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
