Supporting Internal Communications Manager

This role will sit within the Brand & Communications team. As a brand new role, the job holder will work closely with the wider Marketing team, Senior Leadership Team, colleagues in HR, and other business areas to communicate key activities across the business and generate sustained employee engagement.

This will be a standalone internal comms role, expected to own all copywriting and project management responsibilities. Reporting to the Global Head of PR the job holder will evaluate, measure & grow internal comms channels and promote a consistent tone of voice and visual identity. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create internal comms strategy to engage all employees, in line with capital’s wider corporate strategy
  • Develop and implement capital.com internal communications calendar ensuring alignment with corporate communications activity, both internal and external
  • Proactively highlight potential opportunities for improving communication, knowledge sharing and collaboration across individuals and teams
  • Create comms plans for key corporate comms initiatives and plan content for Senior Leadership Team’s quarterly initiatives e.g. Town halls/ business updates
  • Manage the development and optimisation of our internal communications channels, establishing measurement metrics, reporting on their effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement
  • Work in partnership with the HR team on internal campaigns, employer branding campaigns and talent acquisition/retention initiatives as required
  • Work in partnership with employee network groups to support communication of initiatives
  • Ad-hoc communications support to the wider team. 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience working in internal communications or similar
  • Ability to work effectively and productively with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent copywriting, proofreading and editing skills
  • Managing multiple projects and tasks effectively, with strong organisational skills
  • Experience in telling good stories that cut through the noise of day-to-day life in an organisation with international audiences
  • Confidence to work with and advise leaders in line with internal comms priorities and principles 
  • Be able to analyse data and provide insights to inform internal communication strategies 
  • Ability to use own initiative to progress work
  • Great time-management skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to align key messages to strategic pillars and company values
  • Ability to apply an organisations tone of voice to all types of communication.
  • Problem solver, collaborative, flexible, responsive, and agile.
