Support Services Technician - FS (AY 24-25 901715)

Looking for students to help our custodial and facilities teams. This position has a rate of $14.50 per hour.

This position provides critical support to various work groups within the

Operations Department to assist with carrying out the departments work

in a nimble, efficient and streamlined manner. Work groups/Tasks

include: Custodial, Waste Management, Event Support, Moving and Delivery.


Moving and Delivery:

Picks up and delivers materials,

furniture and equipment to varied locations. Sets up and removes

articles for special events. Assists in the general warehousing of

equipment, furniture and materials.


Waste Management: Collects and sorts co-mingled recyclables and removes contamination. Cleans and maintains the MRF and associated equipment.


Custodial and Floor Care:

Assists in major cleanup following parties, events and/or in

emergency situations. Washes windows. Cleans and disinfects bathrooms

and kitchens; restocks supplies. Vacuums, dust mops and wet mops floors,

and spot washes walls. Dusts or vacuums furniture. Arranges classroom

furniture, cleans chalkboards & whiteboards, restocks chalk, markers

and erasers. Cleans entrances and elevators. Sweeps outside steps and

polices the outside perimeter of the building. Collects and removes all

trash. Arranges furniture in social spaces/lounges. Identifies damage

and missing items from assigned areas and reports to team leader or

supervisor. Responsible for cleaning up any blood spills/accidents using

proper procedures.
