We are seeking a talented and experienced Support engineer for the European Block chain Services to work for our client in Brussels, Belgium

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work with engineering and devops team to ensure 24x7 availability of service offerings.
  • Create and maintaining the Tickets in our ticket system and follow ITIL best practices.
  • Create and update knowledge base for the known issues.
  • Provide L1, L2 support and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.
  • Send out the notifications to users in case of downtime during business hours.
  • Trigger investigations (registration of problems) in order to identify root causes and prevent potential impacts on the application.
  • Provide stand by support when required.
  • Support, and document automated build and configuration management processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive monitoring of all systems, including creation of dashboards for internal team use.
  • Diagnose problems observed in test/staging/production environment.

 

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer or similar role.
  • Good understanding of web services, API and IP based protocols.
  • Ideally RHCE qualified or equivalent GNU/Linux experience or qualification.
  • Experience of Docker orchestration technologies.
  • Understanding/Experiences in scripting languages.
  • Solid TCP/IP networking experience and understanding.
  • Experience in network, OS and application monitoring tools.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL best practices.
  • Version control/git.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Puppet is a plus.
  • Jira/Confluence and service now experience is a plus.
  • Blockchain knowledge is a plus.

 

Working conditions:

  • Occasional travel may occur.
  • Office located in Brussels.
