The Role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will oversee supplier qualification and management activities across Europe and Africa. This includes product and process audits, development, corrective action, and production process evaluation/improvement. Collaborate with both new and existing suppliers.
What you will do

Collaborate with Sourcing and cross-functional teams to drive the supplier qualification process for existing and potential Victaulic suppliers, ensuring alignment with corporate procedures. You will also be responsible for qualifying new suppliers, products, and production processes in coordination with Sourcing and other relevant groups.
- Support all facets of the supplier quality management system, including first-piece approvals, periodic production inspections, product/process validations and enhancements, and the development and adherence of control plans. Manage non-conforming material containment, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Assist suppliers in understanding and implementing Victaulic product specifications.
- Play a key role in supplier corrective actions related to internal or external failures. Lead team meetings for issues impacting product availability, ensuring effective communication of actions and status.
- Drive supplier development initiatives in collaboration with the Global Quality Assurance Engineering group. Identify opportunities for improvement based on risk and benefit, covering areas such as enhanced inspections, technology utilization, mistake-proofing, capacity improvement, and quality management.
- Undertake special projects as assigned by the Supplier Quality Manager.
- Initiate regular communication with internal customers to ensure clear identification and execution of quality objectives.
About You

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supplier quality engineering role with proven success in supplier qualification, management, correction, and development.

Expertise in managing supplier quality to produce cast and machined components.

Basic knowledge of facility audits aligned with industry standard QMS guidelines.

Strong proficiency in fundamental quality engineering principles and techniques, including statistical analysis and related software.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent international certification is highly desirable.

Problem solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English and preferably Dutch

Willing to travel globally as needed.
