We are looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance member to join our team. The goal of a Supplier Quality Assurance member at Wisk is to ensure that approved suppliers maintain a high performing and effective Quality Management System, meet all applicable Wisk contractual requirements, and deliver 100% conforming products and/or services on-time, every time. You will be part of the Enterprise Quality team that is committed to creating, implementing and developing a culture of continual improvement.
This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View office 2 to 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.
What you will do:
- Plan, organize, and conduct initial and maintenance approval assessments of suppliers against Wisk requirements, and applicable aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Plan, organize, and conduct onsite audits of Wisk procured material, parts, and assemblies.
- Develop and mature supplier quality processes and procedures.
- Assess supplier capability and capacity to perform work and comply with Wisk specifications, engineering documents, and other contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct root cause and corrective action analysis and implement appropriate preventative action.
- Provide education on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives.
- Conduct source inspections and conformity inspections (8130-9).
- Identify risks and hold suppliers accountable for the mitigation of said risks.
- Supports regulatory agency audits and conformity inspections (FAA).
- This role will require frequent travel within the United States and foreign countries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, chemistry, physics or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
- 2+ years of experience in Aerospace industry
- Working knowledge of the requirements of AS9100 and other aerospace industry standards
- Ability and the technical skills to lead and perform conformity inspections
