Supplier Finance Specialist

The purpose of the Supplier Finance function is to globally monitor and administrate financing instruments such as loans for IKEA suppliers around the World. As Supplier Finance Specialist you support business teams and IKEA suppliers towards optimize development and performance. You also secure the effective procedures, maintenance of all necessary compliance controls and co-ordination between the different IKEA Supply Chain units and IKEA Supply AG.

In the assignment you will:

  • Verify (correctness, compliance), analyse (financial risk), assess applications from IKEA suppliers related to loans and equipment financing and secure proper approval process
  • Prepare necessary agreements according to IKEA standards,
  • Follow-up loan repayments, securities and balance confirmations, including monthly reconciliations,
  • Secure that data bases and registers are up to date,
  • Keep an overview of the supplier finance investments,
  • Prepare correct global exposure reports on time,
  • Take part in the half- and year-end closing activities,
  • Ensure proper communication to stakeholders.

To be in successful in this role you should have/be:

  • Commercial education or equivalent work experience,
  • Experience in analysis of financial statements,
  • Solution oriented mindset,
  • Very good communication and adaptations skills,
  • Willingness to ask "Why”
  • Eager to finish tasks within given timeframes and with best possible results as outcome,
  • Good analytical and numerical skills, be able to “connect dots”,
  • Giving best possible service to the business partners,
  • Good knowledge of accounting rules,
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
