To be successful as our supplier coordinator;

  • Timely Supplier Onboarding: The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for efficiently onboarding suppliers, ensuring that all necessary documentation and processes are completed promptly. This involves liaising with various stakeholders to expedite the onboarding process and minimize delays.
  • Supplier Documentation Management: Managing supplier documentation is crucial for maintaining transparency and compliance within the supply chain. The coordinator oversees the creation, organization, and maintenance of essential documents such as the supplier bible, trading terms, packaging guidelines, and shipping manuals.
  • Supplier Compliance Coordination: Ensuring supplier compliance with company standards and regulations is a key responsibility. The coordinator monitors supplier activities, addresses any compliance issues or concerns promptly, and works towards resolving them within a specified timeframe, typically within 48 hours.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: The Supply Chain Coordinator takes proactive measures to encourage continual improvement among suppliers. This may involve implementing performance metrics, conducting audits, and providing feedback to suppliers to enhance their processes and quality standards.
  • Purchase Order Tracking and Documentation: Managing purchase ordersis essential for maintaining inventory levels and fulfilling customer demands. The coordinator tracks purchase orders, ensures accuracy in documentation, and communicates with suppliers to confirm order details and delivery schedules.
  • Support for Barcode Project Rollout: The coordinator plays a supportive role in implementing barcode technology such as RFID, GS1, and QR codes within the supply chain. This may involve assisting in the planning, testing, and implementation phases of the project to improve inventory management and tracking efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaboration with various teams including Supplier, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Social Responsibility is essential for aligning strategies and achieving common goals. The coordinator facilitates communication and coordination among these teams to address supply chain challenges effectively.
  • Supplier Capacity and Capability Management: Assessing and managing supplier capacity and capability is crucial for ensuring a reliable and resilient supply chain. The coordinator monitors supplier performance, anticipates potential capacity constraints, and collaborates with suppliers to address any capacity issues proactively.

  • Overall, the Supply Chain Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement of the supply chain process through effective coordination, documentation management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in supplier coordination, preferably in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, and problem solving skills 
  • Familiarity with supplier compliance standards and regulations.
