We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and proactive Internal and System Communications Supervisor to join the RMHC Global team. Reporting to the Director of Internal and System Communications, you will be a key member of the team, working in tandem with communications, field operations, marketing, learning and development and more.
You will shape and manage internal communications programs for Global team employees and Chapter leaders. This role will support existing initiatives as well as lead the execution of new ones. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to enhance internal communications and strengthen System-wide messaging to Chapters in support of the RMHC mission and priorities.
Job Description
The RMHC Internal and System Communications Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and executing an internal and System communications strategy.
- Partner with the business to drive effective and efficient communications, through the development of internal communications brand voice, cadence, and the oversight and maintenance of an editorial calendar
- Act as a trusted advisor on communications strategies and best practices for internal stakeholders, including the development and socialization of tools and resources
- Clearly communicate organizational initiatives and projects to employees and the RMHC System that drive awareness, pride, and collaboration
- Plan, edit and write compelling content for a variety of internal communications mediums and System resources, including internal newsletters
- Draft messages, scripts, and PPT presentations from the senior leadership team for presentation to employees/RMHC System (Examples: Conference presentations, emails, System videos)
- Partner with RMHC Global team members to ensure internal communications messages are integrated and consistent across all channels for the greatest impact and alignment with the RMHC strategic vision
- Identify opportunities to share information, leading practices, and program updates, across all internal communications vehicles
- Develop hierarchy and processes for internal communications messaging and vehicles
- Provide meeting support for Global team meetings, System webinars, employee engagement initiatives and conferences to connect internal audiences to our priorities and purpose
- Liaise with RMHC Field Operations Managers and Global PR/external communications to support crisis management and communication to internal stakeholders
- Measure and present the effectiveness of internal communication efforts through monitoring and analysis of performance metrics
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in communications management or relevant professional experience in internal communications
- Excellent speaking, writing and editing/proofreading skills; show versatility as a communicator in adapting style for varied audiences
- Detail-oriented with the ability to plan, schedule and prioritize; manage time effectively with competing and concurrent priorities while adhering to standards, timelines, effective communication, and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to apply principles and practices globally, across cultures and borders, to enhance internal and system-wide communications
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams and Chapter partners
- Flexibility to anticipate and respond to changes in strategic direction and operating practices and embrace ambiguity and continuous improvement.
- A team player with a desire to collaborate as part of an integrated team, while also able to work independently with minimal direction
- A proactive and ready learner with an open, honest and respectful communications style and approach

Nice to haves:
- Experience developing video content for internal and external channels
- Experience with email management systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and MailChimp
- Experience with creating graphics through Canva or similar program
