Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:15AM-7:00PM; & On-Call as needed; Essential Personnel 

Training: Initial classroom training Mon-Friday 8:15AM-5PM for the first two weeks; Hands-on training schedule may vary from hired shift up to 4 weeks

How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for assigned production teams and daily execution of the production plan and all associated functions. You will provide direct supervision, leadership, and mentoring to processing technicians and work closely with other front line managers to achieve the daily workload.

Important: You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.

This role is critical to the LifeNet Health mission because it is an important step in taking the donor’s gifts and transitioning them to the lifesaving and health restoring allografts for patients around the globe.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise processing technicians and production teams to ensure production plan is followed and policies/procedures are adhered to policies and procedures.
  • Provide effective technical training for processing personnel
  • Perform and final post production and/or past packaging documentation reviews.
  • Perform final product verifications and inspections.
  • Perform accurate and timely final post-production and/or past packaging documentation reviews
  • Perform performance evaluations for direct reports and assists in evaluations of other technicians and is responsible for overseeing employee’s performance including annual performance appraisals and managing employee relations issues
  • Assist in monitoring departmental and divisional goals and objectives and to ensure timely completion
  • Create, review, and revise standard operating procedures.
  • Document, monitor and provide corrective action of errors and accidents as needed.

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience, which may include Team Lead, Master Processing Tech or SME (Subject Matter Expert); Previous experience in Tissue Banking, Medical Device or related industry; production environment or healthcare setting preferred
  • Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) certification achieved within 2 years of employment and maintained throughout employment.

  • Able to teach or develop in others any skills and knowledge that relate to tissue processing
  • Able to motivate and inspire the team to achieve production goals

*The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications including prior relevant experience.  The pay range for this position is $29.81/hourly (entry-level qualifications) to $39.75/hourly (experienced in this role).

*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.

*This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on certain criteria being met.
