About the Position

Chase Center is looking for an organized and proactive individual to supervise staff responsible for the assembly and decommissioning of equipment/materials pertaining to the changeover process into all sports, live events, and corporate functions, Under the direction of our Manager of Operations, you will also monitor building arena standards while these games and events occur within the Chase Center. This position reports to the Director, Operations.

This role will predominately be OVERNIGHT BASED, working evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

This is a full-time position located onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and supervision to utility staff for all pre-event, event and post-event conversion and set-up services for the arena
  • Offer hands on training to the utility team as required
  • Ensure all equipment is in excellent working order; schedule regular preventative maintenance
  • Set building configuration per SOP for each individual event
  • Review conversion and utility tasks, outlines, and schedules daily to ensure all requirements are clear and the expectation of the setup is understood before work begins
  • Complete a comprehensive checklist of each conversion to ensure proper conditions and all safety aspects are reviewed
  • Assist in tracking inventory and organization of utility related equipment and products
  • Use maintenance management system to distribute work orders to utility staff, complete work orders per instruction; maximize work flow and completion of goals
  • Devise and implement preventative maintenance schedules, departmental standard operating procedures, emergency procedures, and risk/safety policies are being adhered to and compliant with all governmental regulations (e.g., Cal OSHA)
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems, complaints, and emergency repairs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Document and maintain records of historical conversion data (i.e., expenses, damages, material costing timelines, checklists, and capital expenditures, etc.)
  • Organize and maintain conversion equipment and storage areas
  • Attend event planning meetings to ensure the Operations Department receives pertinent information to appropriately staff and prepare the facility for upcoming events
  • Oversee the Operations Crew and third-party vendors during assigned overnight conversions and select events
  • Receive supervision and direction from Manager and Director, Operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of facility operations experience with venue set-ups and material handling equipment at a venue/stadium preferred
  • Proficiency in construction, precise placement of retractable seating, concert house stage, proper alignment of the basketball floor, goal alignment, height, and level and reading AutoCAD drawings
  • Knowledge of portable seating, ice maintenance, hockey glass and boards, portable basketball floor and other associated equipment is required
  • Strong experience troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Ability to lead up to 25-40 workers at one time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Self-starter with excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work in a high stress and fast-paced work environment
  • Experience working with NBA, NHL/AHL, NCAA, FELD Entertainment, AEG Presents, Live Nation and other concert and family show promoters preferred
  • Knowledge of First Aid, CPR, defibrillation and occupational health and safety regulations

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work predominately overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays

Compensation

  • $65,000 - 70,000 + Bonus
