Emerson Collective Internship Program

The Opportunity
The Experience team creates outstanding events and office environments that empower the work of Emerson Collective.
The Data and Operations intern will play a vital role in this mission by leading team data initiatives, performing strategic analyses, and standardizing processes through clear, streamlined documentation. In this role, they will conduct market research, assess current team systems and tools, and develop essential resources—including toolkits, manuals, and templates—that enhance event execution. Additionally, the intern will digitize the event supply inventory and optimize on-site supply packing processes. Having a working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Airtable is helpful but not required.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create user guides and documentation for team tools and protocols.
- Conduct an extensive Salesforce data tagging project to enhance data accuracy and usability.R
- egularly audit company intranet calendar events and submissions for consistency and relevance.
- Conduct market research, analyze findings, and present insights.
- Ensure information in the Events Airtable base is accurate and properly maintained.
- Track RSVP attendance for ongoing events using Attendee Tracking Software (Splashthat).
- Lead special projects to support operational needs within the Experience Team tied to our Objectives and Key Results.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements
- Rising undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior with an interest in Operations, Data Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Strong analytical skills to conduct market research and analyze data.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for tracking attendance, auditing databases, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to create clear, user-friendly documentation and templates.
- Excellent written communication skills to develop guides, documentation, and reports.
- Ability to present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise manner.
- Proactive, with a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to lead projects independently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support various tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong time-management skills to handle multiple ongoing tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- A proven background in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
- Strong intuition and incredibly perceptive.

Location
Emerson Collective is a Bay Area-based organization with offices in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. This position is located in Palo Alto, CA, and is onsite 40 hours/week between June 9th and August 1st, 2025.
Key Dates
November 18 - January 10: Internship applications accepted, and interviews commence on a rolling basis. Please note that not all applicants will be selected for interviews.
January 10 - March 7: Interviews continue, and offers are extended.
June 9: Internship program begins.
August 1: Internship program concludes.
Compensation
All EC Interns are paid $25/hour and can expect to work 40 hours per week from June 9th to August 1st (eight weeks). Interns may also receive travel and housing allowances as needed.
